FOX Test (Food Explorer / Food Intolerance Test)

  • Overview: It measures specific Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody levels in the blood against a wide range of food antigens (typically covering over 200–286 food sources).

  • Purpose: Helps identify foods that may trigger delayed immune responses or mild chronic symptoms like bloating, digestive discomfort, fatigue, or headaches.

    Preparation

    • Fasting: Fasting is usually not required. However, avoiding an excessively fatty meal right before blood collection is recommended.

    • Dietary Intake: You should ideally include the foods being tested in your regular diet in the weeks leading up to the test; avoiding a food for a long period may cause false-negative IgG results.

    • Medications: Inform the lab if you are taking immunosuppressive drugs or corticosteroids, as they might alter antibody levels.

    • Sample Type: Standard venous blood sample collection.
