Combined Allergy & Food Intolerance Panel (ALEX + FOX Combo Test)

Overview: This comprehensive package combines two advanced blood tests in a single panel to provide a complete evaluation of your immune system's reaction to foods and environmental factors:

  1. ALEX Test (IgE-mediated Allergies): Detects immediate allergic reactions (such as sneezing, rashes, or respiratory issues) against over 295 allergens (foods, pollens, dust mites, pets, and molds).

  2. FOX Test (IgG-mediated Intolerances): Identifies delayed sensitivities and chronic symptoms (such as bloating, IBS symptoms, and fatigue) across more than 286 food sources.

Preparation

  • Fasting: Strict fasting is not required; however, avoiding heavily fatty meals right before the blood draw is recommended.

  • Dietary Intake: Maintain a varied diet that includes your typical foods in the weeks prior to testing so that IgG antibody levels remain detectable for the FOX panel.

  • Medications: Inform the laboratory about any ongoing medications, particularly high-dose corticosteroids or immunosuppressants.

  • Sample Type: A single venous blood draw is sufficient for both tests.

  • List of Included Tests - 2 Test
  • Overview: A comprehensive multiplex allergy test using molecular diagnostics to measure total IgE and specific IgE antibodies against hundreds of allergens.

  • Purpose: Detects sensitization to around 295–300 allergen sources simultaneously, including:

    • Foods (dairy, eggs, nuts, seafood, grains, etc.)

    • Pollens, grasses, and trees

    • Dust mites and animal dander

    • Molds, fungi, and insect venoms

  • Overview: It measures specific Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody levels in the blood against a wide range of food antigens (typically covering over 200–286 food sources).

  • Purpose: Helps identify foods that may trigger delayed immune responses or mild chronic symptoms like bloating, digestive discomfort, fatigue, or headaches.
